Because of careful site planning and increased efficiency, LEED projects and buildings save the equivalent of 4 billion miles of driving annually.
It is anticipated that $100 billion will be invested in the green building materials industry because of LEED-certified designs.
LEED-certified structures serve as teaching tools for achieving even greater improvements in performance over time.
